I’m Sarah Haakenson, a nutrition consultant and award winning author.
I’ve been exactly where you are—wanting to feel your best and optimize your health. My journey started when I was 12, chasing peak performance for basketball. But like so many, I misunderstood what “healthy” really meant. I thought it was about eating less and working out more. That mindset led me down a tough road.
As a teenager, I struggled with both anorexia and binge eating disorder. What felt like a desire to be “healthy” turned into an exhausting cycle of extremes. But those challenges became the foundation of something incredible—my passion for helping others build a truly healthy, balanced, and sustainable lifestyle.
Now, I empower others to break free from diet culture, heal their relationship with food, and reach their heath goals.
I’ve done the work to transform my own life—from rigid rules and food fear to a place of strength, freedom, and balance. I stay active with things I love, challenge myself, and prioritize self-care and fun as essential parts of wellness.
